Spoilers end here.

Trivia[]

  • There are two holes in Mac and Goo's final theory where Wally, in his only appearance, didn't tell anybody about the photo being shot earlier. First, in the picture of the year after, everybody looked pretty freaked out, because they thought what happened last year would happen again. But if Mac's theory was true, why would they be scared? They knew about the photo time. Second, if Mac's theory was correct, Mr. Herriman knew about the picture being moved back, so he would have been in the photo, but he wasn't.
  • It is revealed in this episode that the front staircase is a giant trapdoor into the basement.
  • This is the second episode to feature Goo, as well as the second to feature Cheese, who hasn't been seen since season 2.
  • Bloo's theory about the imaginary friends being abducted by a galactic overlord is ironic, since his voice actor, Keith Ferguson, would eventually go on to voice the galactic overlord Lord Hater on Wander Over Yonder, another cartoon made by Craig McCracken.

Cultural references[]

  • Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy makes a cameo appearance.
  • Wally's appearance and role in Bloo's searching game is a reference to the Where's Waldo? series, where the main purpose is to search for a man wearing a red-and-white striped shirt in a highly populated landscape with several other characters or objects resembling his appearance, making the challenge harder.

Goofs[]

  • When Eduardo, now with a makeover from Duchess, approaches the staircase, there are several duplicate imaginary friends.
  • Rodney Squiddlebeak, who is seen flying above the staircase before the picture gets taken, falls through the trapdoor for seemingly no reason.
  • Myopic Patootie does not have glasses on when the picture is about to be taken, but after everyone falls through the trapdoor, he is wearing glasses.
  • When everyone gets piled up in the basement, one of Wilt's legs goes through Eduardo.
