Ringo Rango is a background character that appears in various episodes of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Appearance[]

Ringo Rango is an imaginary friend with light blue skin, darker blue hair, flipper-like feet, and thin, black stripes on his legs. He wears a red turtleneck sweater with white deer and black triangles on it. He speaks with a British accent.

History[]

Very little is revealed about Ringo in the show. His creator wasn't even shown in "Good Wilt Hunting".

One of Ringo's few speaking roles is in "Who Let the Dogs In?", where, after feeling Chewy lick his leg, he ends up slapping Don Lickles, who gets blamed for his tongue-feet.

He appears to be rather good friends with Clambake, as they are both seen together on various occasions.

Trivia[]

  • Ringo Rango's name and British accent could possibly make him a reference to Ringo Starr, the drummer for The Beatles. This is due to the fact that The Beatles originated in Liverpool, England (all four of The Beatles were also all born and raised in Liverpool). In fact, according to the Foster's Leapster game, he was created during the 1960s, which helped to establish the "British Invasion". In the Era of the British Invasion, British rock n' roll and British pop music were becoming increasingly popular in the United States by that time; and the act that had helped to kickstart and lead the British Invasion in the 1960s was, obviously, The Beatles. The 1960s also begun the fanaticism around "Beatlemania", so many of the imaginative connections between Ringo Rango and Ringo Starr can be seen.
