Jambalaya is an imaginary friend occasionally seen as a background character.

Appearance

Jambalaya is a purple octopus-like imaginary friend with at least seven tentacles, three eyes, blue lips, sharp teeth, dark purple spots, and purple hair and wears a purple and black earring. She has small creatures in her hair, making her somewhat resemble Medusa. These hair creatures are dark purple with sharp teeth and wear black hats with purple stripes and blue flowers on them. These creatures can show emotion, as they are shown sleeping in "The Trouble With Scribbles" and shrieking in "Who Let the Dogs In?".

History

Jambalaya's biggest role is in "World Wide Wabbit". Mac interviews her for a video for the Foster's website, and she explains that she wants someone to love her, making Bloo laugh.

• Her name is a reference to a Cajun dish consisting of rice, vegetables, and meat.
• Jambalaya, along with Sassyfrass, is one of the first two background imaginary friends seen in the show.
• According to Frankie on the Complete Season 2 DVD, Jambalaya believes she has psychic powers and can see into the future and told Bloo once that he was a burrito in a previous life.
