Creaky Pete is a grizzled, old bearded imaginary friend who appears in various episodes of the show.
Appearance[]
Creaky Pete's body appears to be nothing but a long, brown, matted miner's beard. He wears a green hat with a black strap and gold buckle and gnaws on a string of hay. While he does have a pair of thin, black arms, the tip of his beard can function as an arm as well. Creaky Pete has no legs, and thus spends all of his time rocking back and forth in his rocking chair; Yet somehow Creaky Pete is still able to move to different rooms of the house, and even go outside as revealed in "Eddie Monster".
History[]
Creaky Pete first appeared in "The Trouble With Scribbles". He overhears Bloo pondering what could be behind the secret door and then proceeds to tell him "the story of the secret of the secret door." However, Creaky Pete's story consisted of nonspecific details and broad information, such as "in this house" and "in that room." He concluded his story by stating that "something happened behind that door," and that everyone swore that they'd never speak of it again, much to Bloo's chagrin. Later that same episode, he becomes lazy enough to make one of the Scribbles rock his chair.
Creaky Pete made numerous cameo appearances since then, usually with little to no speaking lines. In "Bloooo", Wilt and Eduardo are walking in a hallway while hearing creaking sounds. It turns out the sounds were coming from Creaky Pete's chair. Interestingly, Creaky Pete has a different chair in this episode compared to others, likely because it was the first produced episode to feature him.
In "Bad Dare Day", Bloo dares Rodney Squiddlebeak to braid Creaky Pete's beard. It is revealed that Creaky Pete has bats living in his beard; When Rodney tries to braid it, he releases them, making him decide to quit.
