Trivia
- The program Jackie Khones watches is a scene from "One False Movie".
- This is the first episode to premiere during Cartoon Network's Yes! era.
- Bloo's superhero look appears as an unlockable bonus costume for him in Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL.
- Daran Norris guest stars as Imaginary Man.
Cultural references
- This episode borrows numerous trademark elements from The Powerpuff Girls, another show created by Craig McCracken.
- The opening narration from the newsman in this episode resembles the narration used frequently in The Powerpuff Girls.
- Bloo's repetitive, extravagant speech as Lord Uniscorn is likely a reference to the way Mojo Jojo talks.
- Wilt says "We’re gonna need a bigger cage.", referencing the quote from Jaws, "We’re gonna need a bigger boat."
- Mac references G.I. Joe, Fat Albert, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (specifically Michelangelo) and Scooby-Doo (specifically Shaggy and Velma) whenever he tries a new catchphrase.
- Bloo resembles Darth Vader when he becomes Lord Uniscorn.
- The scene in which Bloo is transformed into Lord Uniscorn is similar to the scene in which Anakin Skywalker is transformed into Vader in Revenge of the Sith.
- He also makes a reference to the famous "I am your father" scene from The Empire Strikes Back, quoting it almost word-for-word.
- The unmasking of Lord Uniscorn is a reference to Return of the Jedi.
