"Better Off Ed" is the 11th episode of season 5 of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
Plot[]
SPOILER: Plot details follow.
Eduardo tells the young imaginary friends stories (flashbacks to previous episodes are seen) about some of his activities. When Frankie comes in, the children tell her said stories, but she notices plot holes in the stories since it was actually Bloo at Eduardo's positions, but Eduardo begs her not to tell the truth. Frankie goes along with it but tells Eduardo to just be honest.
The next day, he discovers his favorite one, Scrappy, is being let into a new room in the house. Eduardo is worried and rushes out while Scrappy is talking to Jackie Khones, who also notices the stories' inaccuracies.
Eventually realizing he is at a loss, Eduardo admits to the young friends that he lied about himself and reveals that Bloo isn't the baby, but he is. Pleased by this, Bloo has him admit that the paintball thing was his plan, but he sees this as a mistake after Mac, Mr. Herriman and Frankie punish him. The young friends are taken back while stating they had fun with Eduardo and acknowledge that while Bloo isn't a baby, he is a jerk, something Frankie also acknowledges.
Spoilers end here.

Goofs[]
- The DVD release has several subtitle errors:
- The subtitles label the title card audio as the children saying "Eddie" three times, when they actually say it four times.
- When Scrappy says, "Then he slaps him. Pow! Right in the kisser.", the subtitles omit "Pow".
- When Wilt asks Eduardo, "You haven't seen that new friend around here, have you?", the subtitles omit the last two words.
- When Eduardo says, "Me too, bro. Come on. Let's get out of here before he wakes up.", the subtitles omit "Come on".
- When Ed says, "Nothing. Let's go find your room and lock you in.", the subtitles omit the first word.
- When Bloo says, "Listen, if you don't shut it then I'm not gonna let you play in my awesome paintball game.", the subtitles omit the first word.
- When the children surround Bloo and chant "Baby Bloo", the subtitles don't caption Bloo saying "nuh-uh".
- When Eduardo learns that Scrappy moved out, in the close-ups of the red, furry child, there is a ring-stacking toy next to him, but all the other shots in the scene are missing said toy.
