Bendy is an imaginary friend who is yellow with black stripes and is the main antagonist of the episode "Everyone Knows It's Bendy". He is voiced by Jeff Bennett.

History

He was brought to the house after his child's parents couldn't take his trouble making anymore. Frankie and Mr. Herriman thought that it might just be his kid blaming him which is apparently very common, but in truth it really was Bendy.

He is a troublemaker and blames everyone for vandalisms he made and is going to cry when those he blames claim their innocence and his guilt to gain sympathy. He ate chips and left a lot of other chips on the floor, got mud all over the floor and walls with Wilt's muddy shoes, and licked the frosting off a cake. Because of this, Coco, Wilt, Eduardo, and Bloo get confined to their rooms with Coco staring down at her nest, Bloo and Eduardo in the corners, and Wilt with his head down on the bed. He brought trouble to Foster's when he started blaming everyone for the pranks he did. Frankie and Mr. Herriman believed and pitied him while everyone else got framed for his wrongdoings. Bloo, in advocating determination, eventually found a way to expose him for the troublemaker he is, but still got in trouble by revealing his methods that caused Foster's to get flooded.

He also makes a cameo in the credits of the episode. When Wilt is walking in the hallway, he sees that Bendy wrote "Wilt, clean this up! Bendy" on the wall, then he runs off, leaving a disappointed Wilt to clean the writing up.

Bendy, being one of the most disliked characters in the series, only appeared in the episode "Everyone Knows It's Bendy", and the games "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends", "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" for the Leapster, "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" for the didj and "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: Imagination Invaders".

His stripes bear an uncanny resemblance to that of some of Dr. Seuss' characters.
Whenever Bendy is about to frame an imaginary friend and gets off scot-free after framing said imaginary friend, he makes a very slimy, evil, and downright cruel grin; that in particular has been widely criticized for being horribly obnoxious, especially when he does this to a certain favorite character of fans. Due to the controversy concerning this, following the episode he appeared in, he was completely removed from the show. Lauren Faust apologized to fans for making the episode "Everyone Knows It's Bendy."
Bendy is the first character to be considered by Faust and McCracken as noncanonical to the whole series of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, meaning having no relation to the show. He became a non-canon character by the writers as a result for backlash and hate from critics and fans of Foster's. The episode he was a part in, was also declared as non-canon to the show, and so were the actions taken by Mr. Herriman and Frankie.
- Despite not appearing in any other episode of the show, Bendy's signature was seen on Mac's 'Goodbye' card in the series finale episode of the Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends series "Goodbye to Bloo", tho it might be another character who's also named Bendy.

Because Bendy was not seen again after the episode "Everyone Knows It's Bendy", it is a highly possible that Bendy might have been caught for his misdeeds and got kicked out of Fosters off-screen.
Due to the fact that Madame Foster wasn't in Everyone Knows It's Bendy, and Mac only appeared at the end of the episode, they are the only 2 who are not aware of Bendy.
From Bendy and the Ink Machine, a 2017 horror video game, the main antagonist's name, Bendy, who is an imp-like cartoon demon, may have been inspired by the Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends Bendy, resulting in frequent minor confusion between these two characters.
